Did anyone see this on ITV today? The old Aaron Locksmiths (which became Phoenix Locksmiths after <a href='http://www.aobl.org.uk/news_release.htm' target='_blank'>this</a>
was featured, after they charged £265 for a £45 job.
The programme locksmith said a callout fee would suffice and entry could be gained within seconds without destroying the lock, but the Phoenix Locksmith (who was the director of the company) drilled the lock out and supplied a new cylinder for £120 (available from Screwfix for £20). I was never sure whether Phoenix was just Aaron renamed, but the programme confirmed the company name changed after the Rogue Traders appearance. They also use the names Maximum Security Locksmiths Ltd, Pronto Locks Ltd and Autokey Services U K Ltd.
I'm not sure whether this is an "off" topic to discuss so I've stuck to the facts as they were shown on the programme and added the director report from companies house.
