I have heard that Parkfield Medical Centre in The Walk is to be closed and that there is a petition to save it. Is this correct? I just cannot believe it.

Haven't heard that rumour, but I've just been told of another rumour, that Ladbroke schools' playing field has be sold to developers to build flats on. Again, I hope this is untrue.

Was in the Parkfield today, and asked at reception if this rumour was true. It was the first they'd heard of it.

However, there was a petition on the counter asking for signitures to "Save the NHS", which all sounds pretty generic to me.
