The RSS feed from PBCF allows you to receive a list of the latest topics from the forums (either all the forums, or only the ones you specify). This is useful as instead of repeatedly visiting the website to keep up to date, you can just get the latest changes directly, without even having to visit the site!
RSS feeds are read by programs known as an RSS reader/aggregator. These programs get information from an RSS feed and decode it, then present it in a way which is easy for users to understand. They might display a notification when the feed changes, or a hyperlink to enable you to visit the contents of the feed.
