Why is it that County Council have said we will not hear the decisions for public consultation until this Friday now? Could it be , call me cynical, that they think we are stupid and gullible ? We know they are waiting to see the results of the local County Council elections and do not want to influence anyones voting by announcing bad decisions about the schools. Whatever happens , they don't fool us and I for one will not be voting for them in the forthcoming council elections. A certain candidate put a flyer through my door in the Parkfield Ward, probably only targeting the houses that had written letters against these proposals, as by the time I went out to pick my daughter up from school , there was not a sign of him or his cohorts! It's just as well he didn't knock on my door, otherwise he would have been given a mouthful of my thoughts. Good luck everyone for a good set of decisions, if not we will be ready to fight this to the last for the sake of Potters Bar community that are fully behind our local schools. NO SCHOOL SHOULD CLOSE and I hope other schools feel the same way! They are all doing a great job for the areas they cover and whichever school if any closes or expands, the traffic and disruptions to the children would be horrendous. We should all stand firm against this.
Oh what a cynic - or not, cunning lot these local coucillors in putting the date back to Friday for the outcome - or rather outcome of the elections!!!, I hope all the parents from the local school feel as strongly as us Sunnybank parents, NO SCHOOL SHOULD CLOSE IN POTTERS BAR - end of story!
