Whilst watching the St Georges Parade today a number of Police Cars had to overtake the children. Does anyone know what the big emergency was?b
See this week's Welwyn and Hatfield Times, on the internet if you don't get the paper.

Although I am slightly unsure as to why it is referred to as a "massacre".
I, myself was actually taking part in the parade and the level of speed that the police cars was doing was way too extreme.

The fact that there was children as young as 6 walking down Darkes Lane, the road should have either of been closed off or they should of moved the children onto the pavement.

I know emergencies happen, but things could have been a lot worse.

Any one else agree? Thoughts?
I wasn't there, so could any one say exactly what happened - did the Police cars actually 'weave' through the crowds? :o
