MAN THREATENED WITH GUN DURING ROBBERY
By Corporate Communication Dept
A 17 YEAR old man was threatened with a gun during a street robbery in Potters Bar over the weekend.
The incident occurred between 10pm and 10.20pm on Monday, April 17, in the High Street, Potters Bar.
The victim had been walking along the High Street alone when he was approached at the junction with The Walk by three offenders.
One offender attempted to grab a mobile phone from the victim, who lives in Potters Bar.
The victim shrugged him off but then the second offender produced what looked like a gun from the waistband of his trousers and pointed it at the victim.
The first suspect then hit the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground where all three offenders kicked and punched him. The victim still refused to relinquish his phone.
All three suspects then ran off empty-handed. The victim got up and ran down The Walk and an old style green Mondeo with a white oval sticker on the passenger door side, pulled up alongside him containing the three offenders. The victim then jumped over a fence into the cricket ground and the vehicle drove off.
The victim sustained cuts to his finger, ear and shin.
The first offender is described as a slim black male, aged around 18-19 and around 5ft 11ins. He was wearing a black hoodie, black baseball cap and black jeans with black trainers. He had distinctive thin sideburns down to his jawline.
The second man was a slim, clean shaven white male also aged 18-19. He was wearing a red baseball cap with ‘No Fear’ and an ‘eyes’ logo, black Nike tracksuit top and bottoms and black trainers.
The third suspect was a white male of medium build, aged around 18-19, around 5ft 9ins to 5ft 10ins. He was wearing a black jacket.
