Whilst nothing in the survey suggests anything to do with Cranborne Library being closed it's as well to complete the survey so they don't even think of cutting back stuff like this!!!

The HCC website story is <a href='http://www.hertsdirect.org/yrccouncil/newsreleases/12778759' target='_blank'>here</a> and the well-hidden online survey is located <a href='http://www.hertsdirect.org/websurveys/cgi-bin/qwebcorporate.cgi?926AQA' target='_blank'>here</a>.
Just spotted in the Herts Direct paper which arrived this morning, buried at the bottom of the story "Exciting New Chapter Opens For Libraries", it says Cranborne is scheduled for closure in September 2006. According to the article the four libraries proposed for closure only issue 1.6% of items in spite of representing 8% of the buildings.

I guess the site is prime for housing.

So please respond to the survey!

Why is it when things like this happen the first you hear is when it's decided. Do they never think to ask what people think?

Extending the opening hours in Watford on a sunday isn't much of a compensation Sad
Huh Just responded to the questionnaire, another cover up by the Council I expect, no doubt to build more houses - more families coming to the area - losing a school and not a big enough library for the community - madness Angry
